Student Examples:
Example 1
See how this student shows knowledge in their practical and written work.
Prac:
The values of blue in the wing, the delicate lines contrasting the dark edges of the wing. The face has good proportions and the blue in the eye helps to balance the piece.
Written:
She then backs up her practical knowledge to evaluate the work by saying that the wing needs to be smaller to help balance the work. While I don't completely agree to with everything she has said, she has backed up her work to explain why she would make the work differently, showing that she is developing her own aesthetic.

Example 2
Prac:
This page shows a beautiful watercolour exploration. The student is showing technical knowledge through use of line, colour choice and composition.
Written:
The title makes it clear that they are experimenting with a sense of flow. This is clearly shown in their choice of images, their practical work and is discussed in the written component as well. "I like the flowing lines and I believe it represents the characteristics of the horse being free and peaceful."
