You must complete at least 5 A4 drawings in your book during the term for homework. Choose from the list below, label your choice next to your drawing. These cover some basic drawing elements and principles. They should fill an entire page of your book and take about 30min to draw or more.

For good marks try to use good proportion and add tone, be creative and have some fun! Must hand up your book at the end of each week!

- Choose your favourite cartoon character and draw using line and clear shapes
- Create a drawing that clearly shows tone, this could be an animal or automobile eg. cars, aeroplane etc. tone refers to the shading from light to dark.
- Use complimentary colours, these are colours on opposite sides of the colour wheel. A good example of something to draw is a bright tropical bird or striped candy.
- Use the 3 primary colours in a drawing
- Create a drawing using pattern, you can try googling zentangle for inspiration, but they don’t have to be in this style.
- Draw a famous artwork, example of artists to look for: Van Gogh, Salvador Dali, Monet, Rembrandt, Andy Warhol, Andy Goldsworthy, Jason De Caires
